2'3" x 6'6" Ledged & Braced Solid Oak Rustic Cottage Door

686mm x 1981mm rustic Oak cottage door is a traditional cottage door manufactured from selected solid Oak (not veneered) timbers featuring natural defects such as knots and mineral deposit staining provide a rustic character; random width tongue and grooved planks complete the authentic handcrafted look. Glued and nailed ledges extend to the edge of the door that allow the fitting of butt hinges if required. The brace and lock block is supplied separately and will need to be cut to size and fitted so it angles up and away from the hinges to support the weight of the door and maintain aesthetics.

This 27 x 78 inch solid Oak cottage door features a ledged and braced design that is more suited to Suffolk type latches or rim lock furniture. We supply this door unfinished and would definitely recommend a solvent based finish is applied, however due to the solid Oak construction some oils and hardwax finishes may also be suitable for this internal door, please contact us for advice in this instance, and always refer to our door handling & finishing guidelines.
