12" Heavy Duty Straight Crook & Band Hinge Zinc Plated

This 12 inch lift off strap hinge is a heavy duty pattern 1055 hinge ideal for gates, outbuilding doors, and utility doors. The zinc plate finish will help prevent corrosion, and can be over-painted using and etching primer if required.

This hook & band hinge is manufactured from 4mm thick by 38mm (1.1/2") wide strap with an overall length of 315mm, and approximately 12 inches to the centre of the locating socket. The hook features a 12.5mm (1/2") diameter gudgeon pin with a projection of 45mm, the back plate is 38mm x 135mm long.

The straight band when mounted on the gudgeon pin will have an overall length of 32cm and will be projected 16mm (5/8") from the mounting position on the gate post or frame. If all the mounting pins are up the gate or door can be lifted off, installing with one pin down will prevent removal.
