4" inch 100mm Pattern 1838 Self Coloured Steel Butt Hinge

Type 1838 door hinges are a traditional British pattern general purpose door hinge, ideal for medium duty applications and suited to doors over 40mm thick. Two hinges can be fitted to doors up to 30kg, doors up to 45kg will require three hinges.

This 1838 type door hinge is manufactured from 1.75mm thick steel, and measures 100mm - 4" inches long by 70mm - 2.3/4" inch wide when fully open, the knuckle diameter is 9mm.

This butt hinge has a natural self coloured steel finish that will develop a natural patina over time, and is also suitable for over-painting to match your door colour (de-grease prior to painting). We supply these hinges in single units without screws.
