What is Plain Colour Laminate?

Plain colour laminate sheets are manufactured using several layers of kraft paper impregnated with melamine thermosetting resin and fused together under very high pressure to produce what we call High Pressure Laminate (HPL). These thin based laminates are normally intended to be bonded onto a substrate. Plain colour HPL is generally supplied as horizontal grade postformable (HGP). Postforming is a specialist technique of heating the laminate sheet to a high temperature that allows the sheet to be bent around curves.
